HOME Helps: Space-Saving Laundry & Toy Hamper

The best feature this lightweight & collapsible laundry hamper has is its durability. I have had a similar piece in the past, but the stitchings were so flimsy & the wire was so thin that it broke after attempting to carry it with a heavy load at its fringes.

When not in use, it can be reduced to a neat circular heap of 16” in diameter by 1” in height & even less when compressed. At its max, the height is 2-high & can carry up to 20-kilograms of clothing, though at this weight, I would drag it or carry it from its base to make sure I can use it for a longer period.

The mesh keeps the contents well-ventilated and see-through that it can be used as a container for other things, such as toys for kids, as a hanging container for small potted plants, and as a temporary cage for my daughter’s pet rabbit.
